New York Governor Backs Same-Sex Marriages from Other States

Thursday May 29, 2008 -- According to the New York Times, Gov. David A. Paterson has directed all state agencies to begin to revise their policies and regulations to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions, like Massachusetts, California and Canada.

Delaware State Police say they have the person responsible for a deadly shooting at a church fundraiser in Newark.
Police have arrested Monir George of White Hall, Pennsylvania.

A KSTP TV news crew was attacked yesterday by officials of a charter school Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy, in Minnesota. The TV news crew came to investigate whether the publicly funded institution complied with a state order to stop accommodating Islamic prayers and religious programs.
