10 Important Keys to Leadership Success by Jonas Clark

The world is famishing for leaders. Jesus said we are to be salt and light to the world around us. Can there be any better place than the Christian Church for leadership development?

A few years ago the Spirit of God spoke to us about the need to create a leadership culture within our local church. With that in mind we set out to teach leadership to those with a desire to improve their lives and make the world a better place. What we learned is the skills of leadership are both taught and cultivated. As one learns the language of leadership and applies its traits they can expect to achieve positive results. We have learned at least 10 important keys to leadership success:

1. How You Think Affects Everything: All of us are products of the decisions we have made in our lives. How you think controls what decisions you will make with your life. Right decisions equal right outcomes.

2. Set Goals: Without goals you can never move forward in your life. Goals, short-term and long-term help you identify your progress. Without them you wander endlessly and waste years of life being ineffective. Write your goals down today. What do you want to carry out this year? Be specific.

3. Take Action: Faith without works is dead. Goals are nothing without action. Do something today. Act on your beliefs.

4. Never Stop Learning: Every successful person throughout history maintained a lifestyle of learning. Read books, attend seminars, watch training videos.

5. Work Hard And Be Persistent: Success doesn’t happen overnight. Success is a marathon and requires fortitude and persistence.

6. Stay On Top of Your Game: Don’t ignore what’s happening in your life. Analyze details. Learn from your mistakes.

7. Stay Focused: Benjamin Franklin once said, “He who follows two hares is sure to catch neither.” It’s easy to get distracted from your goals and lose focus. Make a “to do” list and finish something every day.

8. Innovate: Successful people do things differently. Innovation is the key to improvement and breakthrough. Innovation is doing something new and different.

9. Learn to Communicate Effectively: Effective communication enables you to be understood. All successful people are masters at clear conversation.

10. Work On Your Character: Character development takes time and is forged in the trials of life. Character includes resolve, honesty, responsibility, trustworthiness and discipline. Without right character all the other traits don’t mean much.

To all who are righteous and willing to take a stand, read on. And to all who no longer fear God, hear the word of the Lord and be warned…”Be not deceived. God is not mocked.”

To the Church I say, stand up for God in America. The Body of Christ cannot afford to be silent any longer. It’s time to be heard saying…homosexuality is wrong (Leviticus 18:22). Where is your witness? Where is your intercession? Where are your proclamations and declarations against the spirit of homosexuality that has attacked many innocent, unsuspecting individuals? Do not fear this spirit, Church. God is still with us. Let’s let it be known to spiritual wickedness in high places that God still has a remnant through the governing churches in America (according to Ephesians 3:10 and Isaiah 1:9).

To all sympathizers and proponents of the cause of homosexuality I say, you grossly error in judgment. Whereas you have sought to help bring freedom to these dear people, you have contrariwise helped to perpetuate their bondage. When the Bible says ‘there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end result is death,’ we are cautioned to recognize that some things that appear to be right in our sight are not necessarily right. Read Deuteronomy 3:10-11 and abandon your ways.

To the homosexuals I say God loves you, despite the circumstances have prevailed in your life. Painful experiences happen to everyone that’s born into the world. But no legislation, policies, people or even time itself can take away pain in our life. Only God can do that, and He wants to today. Anyone that has ever been wronged or abused should seek to be healed of that hurt from within rather than being vindicated outwardly. Jesus gives this peace to all who will turn to Him. Let this truth speak to you today. Real freedom only comes through the fear or reverence of the Lord. Turn to Jesus who holds the key to unlock what’s missing in your life.

To all that are in authority I say, woe unto you if you use the broad powers of supervision entrusted to you to resist the will and purposes of God. Malachi 3:5-6 says that the Spirit of God will come and be a swift witness against any that do not fear God. He says “I am the Lord. I change not…”

Thank you EB for allowing the Lord to speak through you. Whether all who read this will admit it or not, the Spirit of God was definitely speaking here and conviction will certainly take place in both the righteous and unrighteous alike.

    Again, Thank you.

John Maxwell states “Leadership is influence…nothing more nothing less. But at Spirit of Life Ministries,(SOLM) we take leadership very seriously. God has used Apostle Jonas to impact my life profoundly.
My day job is that of an educational leader. I even have a degree in Leadership but I can tell you, I have gained so much more from being a part of the emerging leadership team at SOLM.
Not only has it changed my life but it also has a ripple effect, as I impart what I have learned and share those ideas with students, staff, and the community. The best part of my day is when I get the opportunity to share some of the concepts that we discuss weekly through our leadership classes with others. It’s truly amazing to see how “One person really can make a difference”.
If you are hungry and crying out to God to give you more, then please use these Ten Important Keys to Leadership as an outline to be the LEADER God has called YOU to BE! You’ll be glad you did!
