Yesterday while the nation was occupied with the Senate confirmation hearings of Sonia Sotomayor, Senator Harry Reid personally filed two amendments (on behalf of Leahy and Kennedy) to the Department of Defense Authorization Bill.

In a clear win for morality, the Kentucky Court of Appeals has strongly rebuked an activist lower family court for allowing a lesbian woman to illegally adopt her female companion's child, in clear violation of both Kentucky law and the Kentucky state constitution.
