Willow Creek’s Pastor Steve Wu Admits to ‘Sexual Impurity’ Resigns

Pastor Steve Wu, who headed the Chicago congregation of the evangelical Willow Creek Community Church has resigned from his pastoral position after “he admitted to sexual impurity,” church officials said Tuesday night in a statement.

Willow Creek Chicago is one of the largest and most influential megachurches in the nation. Reverend Steve Wu led the Chicago regional campus, left his post last month. According to the Chicago Tribune, the congregation was informed of Wu’s resignation on Jan. 25 during a Church service.
