Christian Satellite Television Gives Hope to Kids in Middle East

MISSION NEWS NETWORK REPORTS — Governments still dominate the television landscape in the Middle East. One bright spot in the satellite topography is SAT-7 Kids, now six months old.

SAT-7’s Debbie Brink says they’ve been experiencing terrific growth. “In Palestine, that’s been where we get the greatest number of responses, both kids and adults. We’ve created for ourselves a little bit of a problem, in that we’re having so many responses that we can hardly keep up with them, which is a very nice problem to have.”

SAT-7 Kids is the first and only Arabic Christian channel exclusively for children. This channel aims to make the Gospel of Christ available to an entire generation of young Arabs in a way meaningful to them. The channel airs original dramas, talk shows, educational material, cartoons, music programs and other shows that capture the attention of young viewers.

Because they broadcast the hope of Christ, they are providing a refuge for the kids. Brink says that’s what’s driving their growth. “What we’re attributing it to, I believe, is a real need for the children to have this kind of programming in the region. We’re the only Christian programming for children in the region.”

The producers of SAT-7 Kids have one goal in mind: to meet the needs and interests of their young viewers. They want children to experience God’s love for them and have the Biblical and practical information they need to succeed in life.

The message has found fertile ground. Because of the enthusiastic response, they’re also short-handed. Brink urges prayer for their counselors and their wisdom. “The counselors are there to answer the questions that kids and others have. They are able to share their faith, but they have to be very careful.”

Bless and thank the Lord for allowing the Holy Spirit to help with Sat-7’s kind of ministry that’s taking place in the Middle East in such a time this.

If our school systems can require our Christian children to learn about Islam in the USA, then Thank God for “equal time” in His letting us here in America gain access into an Islamic stronghold and spread His truth to Muslim children in their country. “An Eye for An Eye”? Well, this is WAR! So let it be done in this case!

In Matt 5:18, Jesus teaches us that until heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle will by any means pass from the law till “ALL” be fulfilled. Also in Matt 24:35, He says that heaven and earth shall pass away, “BUT” HIS words will by “no means” pass away. And in Mark 16:15, He said to GO ye into ‘all’ the world and preach the gospel (not just to stay in the church building and do it on Sundays (or Saturdays). He said that mighty and powerful things would take place in the lives of those who believe on Him when we do this. There will be greater works, signs and wonders working in the lives of us who follow His words, His will, and His ways. Are you a “GO YE like SAT-7? Consider it and come on board! You might not be able to go overseas, but you can start at home or on your job, or even in your neighborhood streets. Let’s “go” and use the gifts that God has given “each” one of us and do our part in helping to ADANNNNNNCE THE KINGDOM !! … in Jesus’ name… Amen Maggie
