I’m an agnostic. It isn’t even in the religious sense that this should be fought. The country was founded on freedom. Religious or otherwise. Why does the bible matter so much in this case? Modern medicine is an atrocity. The leading treatment for cancer is something that causes it. Chemo? RADIATION? They say those who cant afford insurance on the new healthcare plan will get help from the govt. They havent helped us in the past! My husband has child support he pays from a previous marriage. After he pays it his monthly take home pay is 500.00! I work ft as well and we still cant make ends meet. When we asked for help from the govt for food stamps we were told we make too much because they figure up his salary before taxes or child support. Ive been having medical issues but I cant get help with medical because we make too much. We needed help with our heat bill last winter. Guess what. We make too much. The govt isnt gonna help us with shit on health insurance either and I dont think its right to be forced to buy something we cant afford!

1. Health care reform doesn’t mean free health care for all. It means that now, if someone can’t BUY health insurance, they will be able to purchase a policy, even if they have previous medical conditions – they will now be contributing to the system.
2. Whether there is health care reform or not, we all pay for people who do not have health insurance – if someone cannot pay their bill, the cost for all the rest of us goes up to cover it.
3. Just because someone does not have health insurance doesn’t mean they:
a. are lazy (many lazy people have health insurance)
b. don’t work (many small businesses can’t get health insurance for their employees)
4. It is NOT Christian to prefer that someone dies rather than to help them, just because it might cost you money.
5. If you currently have health insurance, you are, right now, paying for some lazy people, some smokers, some people that don’t take care of themselves, etc. You are also paying for elitist CEOs and others who are making sometimes billions of dollars of profit off of you and the others paying into your insurance company. They get paid more if they have made more money for the shareholders. The best way to make more money is to pay for fewer services for you.
