Dobson: “Obama Defames Christianity”

Outspoken Christian radio talk show host Dr. James Dobson, Syndicated conservative columnist and Christian Anti-Defamation Commission director Dr. Gary Cass are exposing Barack Obama’s bizarre brand of Christianity he’s pushing during his nationwide appeal to evangelical Christian leaders.

Dobson made his views clear in an AP article entitled ‘Dr. James Dobson accuses Obama of `distorting’ Bible’.

Dr. Dobson stated, “I think he’s (Obama’s) deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology…He is dragging biblical understanding through the gutter,” adding the pointed pro-life question: “Am I required in a democracy to conform my efforts in the political arena to his bloody notion of what is right with regard to the lives of tiny babies?”

Dr. Cass even goes so far as to say Barack Obama is not a Christian and that Obama claiming he’s Christian is defaming Christianity.

Says Cass, “Presidential candidate Barack Obama is trying to pass himself off as a ‘devout’ Christian and in doing so defames Christianity. Obama makes a mockery of Christ’s death and resurrection, rendering it utterly meaningless, by saying Jesus Christ is merely ‘a path’ of salvation and that ‘all people end up in the same place’.”

Cass asks, “If you can get to heaven by any other way, then why did Jesus have to die in the first place? Christians believe Christ had to bear the punishment for their sins and only personal faith in Christ’s death and resurrection can save from eternal judgment.”

In a Jerry Falwell-esk manner Pastor Gary emphatically states, “No amount of lofty rhetoric or charming personality can compensate for supporting the shedding of innocent blood or the endorsement immoral ‘alternative’ lifestyles. You cannot say you are a Christian while supporting radical pro-abortion and pro-homosexual policies.”

“Obama can talk the talk and even have secret meetings with religious leaders, but he has no credibility as a true Christian. At best Obama is a deist or a Universalist, but according to his theology and his policies, he definitely is not a Christian.”

But not to leave any Presidential stone unturned, Cass adds that John McCain has not made his faith a part of his campaign for Presidency, though he supports the right to life and traditional marriage. “The best we can hope for in this election is for the chance to vote for a true Christian VP,” concludes Cass.

I take it that the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission’s goal is to defame as many of their enemies as possible? Geeez…ya’ll could have at least come up with a better name instead of ripping off the Anti-Defamation League. Is it also a goal to stage a coup d’etat and install James Dobsmedinijad into the White House?

Jesus said a tree is known by its fruits. Good trees can only produce good fruit. The Spirit’s fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Those are the marks of authentic faith. Obama seems to be able to overlook those who are critical, rude, or untruthful about him and to see them the way God does. Anyone ever hear him speak without courtesy of John McCain, President Bush, Hillary Clinton, or even James Dobson? I haven’t. He seems to unfailingly show charity to all and malice toward none.

Hello all: Is Dobson a right-winger zionist pastor? I just would like to know what is the main goal behind Dobson, and what is his ideology

This is just a sign of the times. I believe, in Jesus Christ and I believe that he died and rose again. I also believe that his return is going to be soon! No one seems to be able to stand for truth. Thank you James Dobson!!! Praise God!!

We are really missing it. It’s not about Obama or Dr. Dobson, it’s about the kingdom of God, the truth, and holding people to accountability. We must speak the truth because that’s the only thing that will free this generation and generations to come. And you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free. The TRUTH is that Barack Obama’s political history has been anti-christian and we need to see it for what it is. Beyond his polished showmanship and charasmatic rhetoric is his pro-abortion, pro-homosexuality, anti-Christ (the only way) platform that is diametrical to our beliefs. AND YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE.

It is not the job of a Christian to force Christian values on non Christians. The purpose of the Christian is to get as many people as possible to believe in Christ and His Salvation. This is done through love and acceptance the Jesus himself showed us. Julius Ceasar delared all of his kingdom to be Christian, which of course did not work. Christians were still tortured and killed by those same “declared Christians.”
