McCain’s Campain Manager Speaks Out on Biden VP Selection

This just in from Rick Davis, Senator John McCain’s campaign manager. He wrote a letter to McCain supporters seeking to raise additional funds for the Republican candidate.

“Just hours ago Senator Barack Obama announced he has chosen Senator Joe Biden as his running-mate, adding his own harshest critic to the Democratic ticket. Senator Obama’s choice in a running-mate once again brings up his questionable judgment when faced with making major decisions,” Davis wrote.

Davis points to past comments Biden made against Obama. When asked about Senator Obama’s lack of experience he said, “The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.” Davis suggests that there has been no harsher critic of Senator Obama’s lack of readiness to serve than his new running-mate, Senator Joe Biden.

“Senator Biden has long been a leading critic of Senator Obama’s lack of foreign policy experience. He’s criticized Senator Obama for his lack of leadership and judgment on Iraq, Afghanistan and his commitment to meet unconditionally with the leaders of rogue states,” Davis wrote.

Of course, Davis also put in a plug for his boss, McCain. McCain, he wrote, has made tough, but necessary judgment calls throughout his entire career - always putting country before self interest.

“He has the experience necessary to serve as our next Commander in Chief,” Davis wrote. “He’s ready to lead - ready to put your needs above his own, but he won’t win in November without your immediate support.”
