Did Paula White Line Obama’s Campaign Pockets with Cash?

Can a Christian support both abortion and the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Paula and Randy White allegedly gave Sen. Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign thousands of dollars, and Randy has gone on record as an official Obama booster.

HALLANDALE BEACH – THE VOICE magazine, Advancing Christian Life & Culture

Randy, pastor of the controversial Without Walls megachurch in Tampa, Fla., has given $2,000 to Obama’s camp and went record in the Tampa Tribune earlier this month during a town hall meeting in St. Pete as an official supporter, according to the Tampa Tribune.

The Voice magazine is still trying to reach Randy White for comment.

Specifically, Randy White, the pastor of the controversial Without Walls megachurch, reportedly told a Trib reporter he’s supporting Obama and thinks his ex-wife and former partner in the church, Paula White, does also.

Could Randy be right? Paula anted up $2,300 to Obama’s campaign, according to Federal Election Commission records.

PAULA WHITE DENIES OBAMA SUPPORT

However, Paula’s PR firm has reached out to The Voice magazine to deny the Tribune’s claims. The following is Paula’s official “political position”:

“Regardless of any media stories or blog posts, I am unquestionably 100% pro-life and pro-family values. My political position has always been bipartisan and nonpartisan. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and I talk regularly with and minister to people who hold a broad range of opinions.

“Several months ago I was invited to meet Sen. Obama at an event hosted by Oprah Winfrey. It was an opportunity to meet him personally and to hear what he stands for. The apostle, Paul, said “make the most of every opportunity.” This was one such opportunity. The cost of admission to that event was the “donation”, which came from my personal funds.

“I do not endorse candidates and I have not endorsed Sen. Obama. Although people with whom I work on ministry matters may respond to inquiries about my opinions, that is their speculation: no one is authorized to speak for me on personal or political matters. I am a Christian and a proud American. I am staunchly anti-abortion. Any other labels placed on me are given without my consent. Ultimately, I am always focused on bringing people into relationship with Jesus Christ and allowing His light to shine through my life.”

JOHN HAGEE’S STANCE ON VOTING

Is it OK for Christian figures to support a candidate who supports abortion? There seem to be differing opinions among Christian leaders about whether or not it’s biblical to but stand for Obama stands for.

Evangelical leader Pastor John Hagee is compelling Christians to “vote the Bible.” Hagee urges believers to examine the Bible positions on political issues, like same-sex marriage, abortion and Israel.

Here’s what Hagee has to say about homosexual conduct, in his book, “God’s Candidate for America: Letting Your Light Shine in a Dark World”:

“Throughout the Bible, without any hint of compromise, God makes it clear that homosexual conduct is not just wrong — homosexuality is an abomination. It is sin, plain and simple. Homosexuality and lesbianism are nothing more than perversions of God-ordained sexuality. . . .

Above all, homosexuals want normalcy, acceptance, and equivalence with heterosexuals. Satan being the father of liars, he does not want the truth told about his demonic perversion of family sexuality; instead he offers a lie, a perversion that twists “not normal” into “happy and carefree.”

It is a sign of our troubled times, a proof that we are in what Jesus called the “last days,” that legislators are having to enact laws spelling out the obvious: that marriage is a unique covenant between a man and a woman. Why is this happening? Because the forces of darkness, in their unending assault on the family, are seeking to redefine away the uniqueness of the family unit to where any group of people could seek the legal protection of family status.

If Satan can destroy the family, if he can erode away the societal foundations that undergird the traditional upbringing of children, then he can capture the next generation …”

Again, can a Christian support both abortion and the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

It shouldn’t suprise us that they have given $$ to the Obama campaign, as both Randy and Paula White have not lived within the Word of God since announcing their divorice and going their seperate ways yet still remaining in minstry.

There is a parable about 10 virgins in the Bible. Five wise and five foolish. When the bridegroom came, the wise were ready, the foolish were not. The five wise went on with the bridegroom while the five foolish were left behind.
Interestingly, statistics show that in America 57% of evangelicals believe that there are other ways to God besides Christ.
I’ll let the Groom decide, and continue to pray for Jakes and the Whites.

I am not shocked about the Whites giving money to Obama’s campaign - and I am not shocked about them “qualifying” it as a means to “hear what he has to say.” Don’t we always have good excuses for our sins? Isn’t that one of the steps to giving in to the temptation in the first place - justifying it to ourselves? We are entering a time in our country’s history when we will continue to see people that we have perceived as “great pillars of the faith” - start to expose their sin themselves and justify it rather than them being found out and repenting. Our country’s history is being re-written to suit liberal goals, and so is the Bible and theology. My soul aches that greats like the Whites have followed this trend.

Has anyone else noticed how the same people who are shouting out for tolerance and equality (ie. the gay community) are highly intolerant themselves??? I have found countless trashed “Yes on 8″ signs throughout my city… and on the other hand, all the “No on 8″ signs that have been put up are still standing. They talk about the hate and hypocricy we (Christians) stand for, yet all I see is them spewing THEIR hatred. I saw it yesterday at a rally for “Yes on 8″, when they arrived and started knocking down our signs and crowding in front of us at the curb we had been standing at for an hour. I prayed for them.

I cannot believe that so called Christians have decided to go against what the Word of God says, and elect a president that so adamentally opposes what it says! God is to come first in our lives regardless of race or politics! The Word of God says “But whosoever shall deny me before men, I will also deny them before my Father which is in heaven”. (Matthew 10:33) If you deny the Word Of God, you are denying Him.

Our nation was founded on God’s principles, and we, as a nation, have strayed. By backing a man who refuses to salure our flag and wanting to redesign it, when its pledge infatically says “ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

This does not even begin to touch the fact that he is for killing our babies, even to the point of letting them die alone in a broom closet. He blatently supports gay marriage when the Bible calls it an abomination. He also has admitted that he will pull support from Isreal, the chosen people of God! WAKE UP AMAERICA!!!!!

Well, Paula and Randy White are two people who achieved incredible fame based on their colorful and dynamic personalities. They found themselves in over their heads and beyond their “lane of assignment.” In endorsing OBama they have revealed their ignorance, not only of the Bible, but about the role of Christians in society, about sociology, politics, and the formation of public opinion. They appear to be very uneducated and/or short-sighted. The American people know how to give their elected officials and campaigners a “hearing”. The Whites don’t need to contribute to OBama’s campaign for that to happen. Their justification is just more ‘mumbo-jumbo’ and ‘double-speak’ from two people who want to do Christianity their own way.

Who made any of you judge over another? You that judge be weary that thou not be judged. I am sick of you Americans. Bunch of hypocrites. Being a Republican or conservative does not in anyway indicate that one is a beleiving christian and sitting in the pew does not mean one really serves the Lord. Mccain is no better christian than Obama because he is pro-life. You all need to suck it up and start praying for your leader cos criticizing the one in authority is a sin and as the scriptures says will make things not to go well with you.
    BE CAREFUL!

I am not surprised…many people who believe in Jesus voted for Obama. We ARE in the last days and the great apostasy has begun.
