O stands for Oprah, Obama and according to People Expert Troy Dunn, O also stands for Over estimating the effect the Oprah ‘brand’ will have on Barak O. Based on his experience and insight, Dunn says, “Oprah has officially ‘jumped the shark’ with her endorsement of Obama. This is the beginning of the gradual dethroning of the queen of daytime television.”
That’s a pretty bold statement. Of course, we like bold statements around here.
What do you think of the Oprah-Obama connection? Is she shooting herself in the foot with this alliance? Or will she push him right into the White House thanks to her popularity?
Intresting, but very concise reading material on Oprah and Obama. It would cause one to give more thought to it if it was more detailed. For instance, what makes this person thing that this will be the beginning of her fall as daytime Talk Show Host?

Looks like Dunn doesn’t like Ms. O. too much. Is he jealous of her success? Jealousy, the green-eyed demon, is always looking for someone’s downfall. However, Everyone has his or her opinions or hopes for this upcoming election. You can feel the tension & something similar to excitement in the atmosphere. I guess just about everybody will be voting this time around… even if it’s to keep out the one they don’t want in the high chair. Most times people just don’t vote because they don’t like any of the candidates; so it doesn’t matter who makes it in… they imagine that the job could be done equally as bad by either one who gets in. I am sure that Oprah has a good deal of influence. This has surely gotten the nation’s attention; and many folks who were confortable, I’m sure that they are now quite uncomfortable. Nevertheless, there is no need for Dunn or anyone else to stress about Oprah or Obama. The process is for the voter to vote (whoever decides to vote) and let the games begin! The end result is, whoever gets the winning vote will sit in the hot seat; and he or she will be the president…whether Oprah’s popularity is with the candidate or not. Ooooh, the woes of politics & religion ! Y’all vote now, ya hear? **
No, the queen of daytime talk is far from shooting away the very mechanism that keeps her afloat, those feet that run to report the latest and the greatest stories up close and personal. Oprah is an international icon with connections around the world. She has counted up the cost and determined that her involvement with this campaign will not diminish her established image. Obama’s ratings will not make or break her acceptance and popularity among the general public.
At best, Oprah will ride this wave unilaterally. She is just one more supporter in Obama’s campaign who may be instrumental in bringing about a few swing votes, but contarary to popular opinion, she is not God. At the end of the day the votes that rank the more meritoriously can not be swayed by a talk show host.
Only God has the power to order the footsteps of man and in this case of Oprah,woman. Has Tony Dunn ever met her? I have and she is just like any other human being. If people like her, they like her and if they don’t they don’t. No one ever talks about the demise of the careers of other celebs that endorse or support candidates of their choice. Oprah will be on that television until the Lord gives her something else to do. Remember that God knows who the next president is anyway. So, if it is Obama, Clinton ,or any of the other people running, our job is not to judge it is to pray for the leaders as God has requested us to do in the bible. Let’s hope that the incoming President will be led by the Spirit of God and able to help keep our country safe and stable.
I am not only troubled deeply by Politicians who ride on the fame of TV celebrities to get votes, but even more so that in the shadow of 9-11 and not fully knowing who is and isn’t of terrorist affiliation that we would even slightly consider a man running for President who has such strong ties with Islam. How do we know he doesnt have alterior motives. Not only that but we are embracing this radicle religion in our country by leaps and bounds and its very foundation is what motivated the attacks on 9-11. This country was founded on Biblical principles and not the koran. The two books higley contradict each other. I think once again we have allowed ourselves to get drawn in and let our guard down. This country needs to get back on its knees and fall on our faces before God and seek who God has for our next President. WE keep allowing government to erase God from all areas of life because sombody is offended and Im scared to see what it will take for us to say enough is enough God we need you. Prayer and fasting is the answer.
I have a serious concern, was Barack Obama a Muslim and if so, why is Oprah supporting him. I understand her religious believes fall under Scientology.
