It is surfacing that our government used water boarding to extract information from prisoners of war and both Democrats and Republicans approved. I know there are different opinions on this issue but let me say as boldly as possible, “We are Americans and we do not torture people.” Let me say it again. “We are Americans and we do not torture people!”
Some may say that “the end justifies the means.” If that’s you then let me remind you that statement originated from Niccolo Machiavelli in the 1400s who was known, true or not, as a corrupt politician that believed in a totalitarian government. Sounds like a political candidate for Washington DC today.
Folks, our nation used to be a beacon of light to a dark world but sadly we are free falling into the mire of wickedness. How far will we fall? What will be the outcome?
As Christians, yes, as Americans, we must make a stand for righteousness. We must say no to the inhumane treatment of prisioners. Scripture says we reap what we sow. What are we sowing? What are we saying to the world is acceptable behavior? What does Christ think about our actions? Where is it written in the bible telling us to torture our enemies?
The Third Geneva Convention was adopted in 1929 and revised in 1949 as a guideline for the treatment of prisoners of war. I suggest you Google it. This guideline was debated by those that believed in the humane treatment of prisoners of war. They had much information to use from a history of wars and demonic torture of captive soldiers. Today our government has forgotten it. Now we have attorneys redefining the definition of torture.
In my opinion God is shaking America and we are being weighed in the balance. Are we still “one nation under God?” My prayer is we turn from our wicked ways. That turn dear friend starts with us.
Let freedom ring! Here are some excerpts from the Geneva Convention.

Well written!!!
Mr Jackson Senyonga
Your argument would be valid, if we were fighting lawful combatants.
You’re a student of history, as am I, considering that, what happened to the German soldiers found wearing American or British uniforms during the ramp up to the Battle of the Bulge?
From the Allied side of action, what became of OSS agents in civilian clothes, and, finally, the French resistance when they were captured (all without a uniform)?
All of those men knew they were unlawful enemy combatants, they knew they were not going to be POW’s if/when they were captured.
Extract from Sir Reginald Paget’s book Manstein: His Campaign and His Trial (Collins, 1951), page 109 :
The (US) Simpson Inquiry Commission “reported among other things that of the 139 (German) cases they had investigated, 137 had had their testicles permanently destroyed by kicks received from the American War Crimes Investigating Team.”
Sen. Christopher J. Dodd, who in 2004 ran for president, is out with a book. But it’s not a conventional candidate biography or blueprint for change.
It’s about the Connecticut Democrat’s late father, Thomas J. Dodd, who preceded him in the Senate. In fact, most of it was written by his father —and it is fascinating.
The book, which the senator put together with the assistance of Lary Bloom, is Letters from Nuremberg: My Father’s Narrative of a Quest for Justice.
The senior Dodd wrote the letters in 1945-’46 to his wife, Grace, back home in Connecticut, while he was abroad, mostly in Germany, as a prosecutor in the Allies’ war crimes trial of 22 top Nazis, including Hermann Göring, Joachim von Ribbentrop and Albert Speer.(All but three were convicted; 12 were sentenced to hang.)….
Consider these Sept. 25, 1945, observations from Tom Dodd, who would emerge as second in command on the American prosecution team:
“You know how I have despised anti-Semitism. You know how strongly I feel toward those who preach intolerance of any kind. With that knowledge — you will understand when I tell you that this staff is about seventy-five percent Jewish. Now my point is that the Jews should stay away from this trial — for their own sake. For — mark this well — the charge ‘a war for the Jews’ is still being made and in the post-war years it will be made again and again. The too large percentage of Jewish men and women here will be cited as proof of this charge. Sometimes it seems that the Jews will never learn about these things. They seem intent on bringing new difficulties down on their own heads. I do not like to write about this matter —it is distasteful to me — but I am disturbed about it. They are pushing and crowding and competing with each other and with everyone else.”
Anyway - It’s now official - there’s no actual shortage of Holocaust survivors:
Extract from The Holocaust Industry by Norman G. Finkelstein of the City University of New York (published by Verso, London and New York, 2000):
‘The Israeli Prime Minister’s office recently put the number of “living Holocaust survivors” at nearly a million’ (p.83).
