Child Sex OK at Age 9, says Islamic Saudi Cleric

‘Muhammad is model we follow. He took ‘Aisha to be his wife when she was 6′

Age, or lack thereof, is no hindrance to marriage under Islam, according to Ahmad Al-Mu’bi, an officiant for marriages from Saudi Arabia who says sex at 9 is fine.

According to a video of the Saudi official recorded and translated by MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute, Al-Mu’bi has confirmed that marriage contracts are appropriate for girls as young as age 1.

And he said the model for marriage continues to be Muhammad, who married one of his wives when she was but 6.

The video comes from a broadcast on LBC Television on June 19, according to the MEMRI report.

Al-Mu’bi said, “Marriage is actually two things: First we are talking about the marriage contract itself. This is one thing, while consummating the marriage – having sex with the wife for the first time – is another thing.

“There is no minimal age for entering marriage. You can have a marriage contract even with a 1-year-old girl, not to mention a girl of 9, 7, or 8. This is merely a contract [indicating] consent. The guardian in such a case must be the father, because the father’s opinion is obligatory. Thus, the girl becomes a wife,” he said.

“But is the girl ready for sex or not? What is the appropriate age for having sex for the first time? This varies according to environment and traditions. In Yemen, girls are married off at 9, 10, 11, 8, or 13, while in other countries, they are married off at 16. Some countries have legislated laws forbidding having sex before the girl is 18,” he said.

He confirmed, “The Prophet Muhammad is the model we follow. He took ‘Aisha to be his wife when she was 6, but he had sex with her only when she was 9.”

Is Saudi Treatment of Women Islamic?

On March 11, 2002, fire struck a girls’ school in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The religious police locked the schoolgirls inside the inferno rather than let them escape without their head-to-toe cloak. The firemen were prevented from entering the school for fear that the girls would be seen without their covering. Fourteen young girls were burned to death and dozens more were injured.
    Is this treatment Islamic?
To answer this question, a comparison will be made between the fine treatment that the Prophet Muhammad reportedly accorded to His first wife Khadija and the treatment of women that evolved under Sharia (Islamic Law).
We are told that Khadija was the best born, a rich businesswoman who employed Muhammad, proposed marriage to him when He was 25 years of age. She was 15 years his senior and twice a widow. For the 25 years of their marriage, the Prophet remained monogamous. Khadija was the one person to whom He turned for advice. She was the first convert to Islam.
The difference between the Prophet’s treatment of Khadija and the treatment of women under Sharia Law is stark.
The Quran subordinates women to men [Verses 2:228 (Chapter 2, Verse 228], 4:34, and 18:46). It decrees that one man is equal to two women when bearing witness in a legal setting (2:282), that a male’s share in inheritance is equal to that of two females (4:11), that a man can have up to four wives simultaneously, on condition of equitable treatment (4:3), that a husband can divorce his wife without giving reason, though the Prophet reportedly discouraged divorce.
Allowing the Muslim male to marry four wives simultaneously and divorce any one of them without giving cause is synonymous with unlimited polygamy.
Additionally, Shiite religious scholars interpret Verses 4:4 and 4:24 as if men are allowed a temporary marriage contract, called Mut’a, for which a payment to the woman is made for her services for a predetermined period of time.
Sunnis sanction the Misyar marriage. Here, the couple lives apart; the woman relinquishes her right to have financial support and accepts the man’s visits in her family house. Misyar has been sanctioned by the Islamic Jurisprudence Assembly on April 12, 2006 and by the Grand Muftis of Saudi Arabia and Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo.
Misyar and Mut’a marriages are sanctioned adultery.
The Sunna (sayings and acts attributed to the Prophet) too contains Traditions unflattering to Women. Al-Bukhari attributed to the Prophet saying that most of those who are in hell are women, that women’s lack of intelligence is the reason why a woman’s witness testimony in an Islamic court of law is equal to half that of the Muslim male, and that the reason why Muslim women are prohibited from praying and fasting during menstruation is due to them being deficient in religious belief. Al-Nasai attributed to the Prophet saying: People who entrust the management of their affairs to a woman will fail.
Sharia Law is not applied uniformly in Muslim countries. In Saudi Arabia, Islam is used to eliminate the potential political opposition to the government by one half of the population. There, Sharia means, among others, strict segregation of the sexes at work, schools, hospitals, shops, public parks, elevators, let alone guardianship by the male in the family. In Saudi Arabia, Al-Bukhari’s attributions became a common popular proverb: women are light on brains and religion. A well known Saudi cleric told Lebanese television viewers on June 19, 2008 that it is permissible for girls to get married as young as age one but have the consummation of the marriage postponed until age nine; following the example of the Prophet who took Aisha to be his wife when she was 6, but had sex with her only when she was 9.
By contrast, in Muslim non-Arab Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey, Sharia means that women can be presidents and prime ministers.
In June 2006, Turkey formed a committee of thirty-five scholars to study the removal of Prophetic attributions that encourage violence against women.

Divorce is something that no one wants to face. Sometimes there are hard feelings between the two couples and sometimes the couple will still get along very well. One thing is for sure; once you are divorced, you do not need to be having an intimate with your ex. You will want to remain friendly with your ex. When you are trying to rebuild your life, you want to do the right things. A divorce is something that can be very complicated and when you are combining sex with your ex, you are only making the situation more complicated. There are so many things to worry about when you are trying to rebuild your life after a divorce. You have to be willing to let the physical side of your relationship go so that you can free your mind and body up for the next chapter in your life.

First of all I have to mention that I am American and am against most of the beliefs of the people here. Christian beliefs have infested the population and have created a society of narrowminded beings that are incapable of evolving with the everchanging culture.

We are sexual beings. Even so-called Christians are the same sexual beings. They choose to deny their own sexual nature in public. But they later get caught having sex with kids. I think that sex is a good thing. The act of forcing yourself upon another person for sex is rape. Doesnt matter what the age of the girl is, its still rape. But, any virgin girl or woman will want to tread lightly into the world of sex. Its a careful entrance. Its even more so with a very uncertain young preteen girl. Much harder to fit a grown man’s penis into a preteens vagina. But it has been done many times without problems. But it has to be a very gradual process indeed. Many people cringe at the thought. Our children are being looked at as trophies that need to be “protected” from the “shameful” existence of sex. But sex is nothing but good.

Instead of looking at “SEX”, we should be looking at pleasure. Its okay to give a preteen a back massage. She likes it. Even a foot massage is good. What about teaching her masturbation as a form of pleasure. Masturbating each other is a intimate relationship. Even a preteen can enter into this kind of relationship responsibly. But the narrowminded nature of biased conformists of society cannot see the intellectual perspective of sexual nature of humans. They only see the shame that their “god” installs into them. Pretten years are when a girl starts developing in ways that her naked body becomes attractive to the opposite sex. Yes, there are deranged men in the world that prey on babies. But thats an entirely different issue, just like serial killers. But, simply the mere acceptance of how sex fits into even the lives of children is a positive thing. The repression of sex in America is creating a revolution of sexual recklessness. Trading partners is reckless. But a grown man having sex with a young girl isn’t necessarily. Hence the reason why we have too many men being labeled as sex offenders when they are not. The law is wrong. And there are those who will continue to risk their well being to wake up the close minded. We must acknowledge that sex and even incest is not a bad thing at all. Just because the Bible says it is so, does not mean it is. Sex is just sex. Love is universal and does not see the words sister, brother, cousin and so on. You can love a sister so much that you share an ultimate act of love…..sex. Close minded people are incapable of that. They live with shame, fear, and hatred.
