Where Are The Patriotic Voices?

It’s time for the Davids to arise with prophetic strategies that bring God’s will to the land.

Ezekiel was a patriotic voice. He proved his love for the nation of Israel over and over again in ways that were sacrificial, uncomfortable and downright humbling. In utter obedience to the word of the Lord, Ezekiel, for example, married an unfaithful prostitute. In total submission to the Spirit of God, Ezekiel laid on one side of his body then the other for months on end.

In fact, in an effort to demonstrate the heart and mind of God, Ezekiel executed some of the strangest prophetic acts in the Bible. Ezekiel wasn’t the only patriotic prophet in the Word of God, though. There are many nationalistic nabis in the Word of God. Indeed, prophets who were loyal to God and country at all costs mark the annals of the prophetic ministry. I pray that this same spirit will sweep over every prophet in every nation today.

Patriotic ChristiansWhether you are a watchman assigned to the United States of America, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, or some other nation that is under attack from dominion-seeking false religions, oppressive governments, or secular humanistic ideology (and it’s hard to think of a nation where that description does not apply) your role is to stand in the gap and intercede for God’s will. The way I see it, instead of boasting about how we are ‘prophets to the nations’ we should make doubly sure that we are prophets to our own nations first. After all, they say, charity begins at home.

The Lord recently gave me a powerful prophetic word for the U.S. – and a spiritual warfare strategy that’s so simple a child could implement it. But that revelation didn’t fall into my lap while I was crying out to God for a new car and financial increase. No, it came after days of repeatedly standing in the gap for this nation and its leaders, pleading with Him for mercy, petitioning for a hedge of protection – and repenting for the sin that is committed in this land. Instead of pronouncing judgment on some states and declaring curses over others as we so often see in today’s prophetic circles, We broke the curses and bound the enemy’s plan to steal, kill and destroy. I know many of you are doing the same thing and I thank God for your faithfulness.

Falling on your face in deep repentance and asking God to heal the land may not sound as exciting to many as hollering at the devil and fervently flailing your arms. And I agree that it’s not as much fun in practice, but it’s not about showing off spiritual warfare skills, is it? It’s about standing in the office of the prophet, functioning in that role the way God directs. There are times to shout the victory the way the Israelites did at Jericho. And there are times to weep and cry in repentance, as did Jeremiah. I would urge you, prophets and intercessors, to seek God for the prophetic warfare strategy that God wants to execute in this time and this season.

Remember King David, a prophet and a mighty man of war? David consulted God with the memorable query: “Shall I go up?” But as David matured he wasn’t always satisfied with a “yes” or “no” answer from his Commander in Chief. He depended on the Lord to offer him an assurance of victory, a specific, customized prophetic warfare strategy, and specific instructions for battle. Pressing in for prophetic strategies is a sign of maturity because, I dare say, young prophets may spend a lot of time screaming at the devil, or as the Apostle Paul put it, buffeting the air. In doing so, it’s quite possible that they could wind up fighting against the very will of God.

Like David, our spiritual warfare must be waged from a position of victory. That means knowing who you are in Christ and the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe. Know this: Although God’s battle plans are always successful, they may differ from skirmish to skirmish. That’s why we need prophetic strategies. Just because Joshua and the Israelites marched around Jericho seven times, let out a shout, and watched the walls fall down doesn’t mean that’s applicable for every situation (Joshua 6). (The Lord has never directed anyone I know to do such a thing.) Likewise, just because Jehoshaphat and his crew defeated the enemy with praise and thanksgiving without ever lifting a finger to fight doesn’t mean that will work in all occasions (2 Chronicles 20). Praise is always appropriate, but sometimes you have to enter into the battle with the whole armor of God and fight.

David understood this. When he encountered the Philistines at the Valley of Rephaim the first time, he inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?” The Lord responded, “Go, for I will surely hand the Philistines over to you” (2 Samuel 5:19 NIV). David was victorious in battle, but he didn’t let it go to his head. When the Philistines came up and spread out in the valley the second time, David didn’t make presumptions. He inquired of the Lord again. This time, the Lord had a different battle plan: “Do not go straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the balsam trees. As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move quickly, because that will mean the Lord has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army” (2 Samuel 5:23-24 NIV).

Of course, David and his mighty men won again, striking down the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.

It’s important to note here that David was fighting for his nation. His acts were patriotic. He was a deliverer. He was a warrior. He was a reformer – all earmarks of true prophets. Sure, David could have rested in his popularity after defeating Goliath. He could have sent his army out to do the fighting. Or he could have rushed out in arrogance against any and every enemy whether it was God’s timing or not. But David didn’t do that. His concern was not merely for himself. It was for the nation of Israel.

David’s battle plans often started with prayer: “Shall I go up?” He sought prophetic warfare strategies that preserved a nation from its enemies by putting God’s will first. I challenge you, prophets and intercessors, to follow David’s example. Stand for your nation. Seek prophetic strategies. And watch God restore Kingdom culture in your nation just as it is in heaven.

the prophet and the prophetic
written by I wanna Know, February 03, 2009
Well, to respond to the article I just read, it brings me to the reality of the teacher in the ministry of the prophetic so called. I believe we have people that are titling the gift, word of knowledge and word of wisdom for prophetic alone. I have experienced and am experiencing what you can call the developing of a PROPHET. why, would I voice this, this way? When you look at scripture Prophets walked with, worked with, went to Kings. Kings reign offer terrortories. God gave special revelation to his man or his women concerning events that would take place in the world and it's affairs. It bother me when I hear my beloved brothers and sisters refer to world events as though are seperate from our father I believe he said the earth is the Lords and the fulness thereof And they that dwell therein.Every thing that is happening is not happening apart from Gods' will ,but in his will. The purpose of the Prophet is what I think we should look into not the words of knowledge, yes these thing are important but when you look at the life of CHRIST ( which is the spirit of prophecy to the new testament Church) he work alot of miracles taught alot of lessons preach sermons but had it not been a need for a savior, he would not have come.So I conclude in this Last hour let's seek out our purpose, enjoy the gift, live out the purpose.

This nation has been conditioned to think, that things that aren't, are. Unlike the word of God, its not in accordance with God's will. We as His people must bow down in repentance and truly seek Him if we are to understand, acknowledge, and fight against in unity; the yoke of slavery which has been deceptively set before us. Too many 'can't handle the truth' while others are too cowardly to show themselves approved, and kneel to yield before they gird up. That's why the Israelites were in the desert 40 years. God knew they would avoid war at all costs. Most feel the same today. You are calling for a Nation that is in slumber to awake and arise when most don't want to hear the truth.

God's people led of HIS Spirit have been awakened to the fact that freedom in Him was given by Jesus' name, life, blood, death and resurrection, the acceptance and appropriation of that, followed by service, then that although Jesus said that by acceptance of Him as Lord and Savior we were grafted into the Abrahamic covenant and a transference of wealth would occur; it doesn't happen on its own. There are things we have to take possession of.

In order to conquer the Nation as Patriots, we have to wrestle with and conquer the spirits of fear, doubt, deception, and be willing to allow God to quicken our spirits as to 'all' we believe by design (Satan's). There's a lot of mixed fruit and those he's called to this will not be resisting shedding doctrines of men.

This Government was created for a corporation called the "UNITED STATES" google it for yourselves. The Federal government for 'The united states of America" was dissolved with the Emergency Banking Act in which it declared itself insolvent. International Bankers took over our nation with Woodrow Wilson's help in 1913, and Roosevelt and all that have followed have been President's of a Corporation and by deception and the submission of God's people, they have ruled this Nation, enslaving us with deceptive words and contracts.

We have a redeemer, but he already did his part. Each person must now do their own. Will you consider this non-sense or allow your spirit to be awakened and let the Spirit of the Sovereign God direct you?

I started out reading what you wrote and then kinda scanned the rest of it. The reason being is that after almost 30 years of seeking hard after the Lord and many, many years of "being on my face" before Him, I have learned that there are different seasons in people's lives.

He doesn't have us all doing the same things either because we are different parts of a very intricate, specially designed by the Lord Himself, Body of Believers.

So though I congratulate you for your devotion to the Lord, I also understand that different people are anointed to do different things for different amounts of time--all of us learning all of the time how to be led by the Spirit of God so that what we do is profitable to Him and He remains Lord of everything we do. That we don't go out and do things because they are in our own estimation good things, but we only do those things He leads us into so then they are already blessed and will prosper.

So I praise the Lord that there are people like you He is using to cry out to Him the way you described. Aren't His various anointings spectacular? Is He not wonderful in the way He uses each of us so differently and in so many various ways to accomplish His purposes? For He, after all, is the great Intercessor, and we His Body through whom He intercedes!

This generation
written by ProDigit, June 11, 2009
I'll have to say that this generation is not that much different from past generations!
In the past I'm sure there where many who willfully resisted the gospel as well!
There where just less people around, and less news about these events.
What was in the dark stayed more in the dark, today it all comes to the light and we get overwhelmed seeing it all!

So I don't think that this has changed!

The bible is indeed very clear about healing a land goes through prayer and interecession; warfare in church cycles has become a form of wichcraft in these days.
Any spiritual action outside of the will of God is wichcraft, and not powered by the Holy spirit. You go and pray on your knees for God to heal the Land, and God will come with healing in your own life, which you can share with others!
That is healing... Not 'denying evil'.
Denying negative things is as much evil as the negative things. Instead, stop pondering upon all the evil and how bad it is, and start pondering upon how good God is, and all the good things you can do.
I have yet to see a newsflash on CBN or fox news saying that a christian stood up for something and as a result something good happened!
But we see daily how people dare to throw their life away for drugs and money, even go as far as to commit murder, and get jailed.. that's on the news all the time!

Definitely denying evil; speaking bad about bad, is an evil on itself, that is the root cause of many to reject christianity because they feel christianity has rejected them in their evil.

You can only win a country by love. Patriarchism could work for some, but for others it's just another way of being foolish.
A question I've always asked is wether or not it is good to feel proud of your own country. You can feel good and happy about it, but favoring it over other countries is not good.
In Antwerp we experienced the same. Everyone knew Antwerpians where enormously proud of their city, always saying that 'it is the Best!'.
Then God turned it around, and immigration became a major cause of crimes, so much that very few original Antwerpians are even still proud of their city of birth...
God cuts down the high, and levels the valley...
Let it be a lesson, USA is definitely NOT the best country in the world to live in;in fact many go from there to canada these days!
But it is a country that needs people that will love it as a country. A country without love is like a tree withered without leaves.
