Barr: Congress Should Vote “No” on Bailout
Written By: Jennifer LeClaireOnce again speaking contrary to the mainline candidates, the Libertarian Party’s Bob Barr is arguing that congress should vote against the $700 billion bill to bail out the financial services sector.

“The leaders of both the Republican and Democratic Parties are rushing ahead with their $700 billion bill,” Barr says. “Without a single hearing and without considering other solutions, Congress is preparing to put the typical American family on the hook for more than $8,000. Legislators in both parties need to stand up for the American people and say no.”

Barr asks two thoughtful questions: If bailouts are the answer, why hasn’t the $300 billion housing bailout worked? What of the $100 or more billion bailout of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae?

Congressional Cover Up of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac?
Written By: Elizabeth Sanchez

We are being told that "deregulation" caused the problem. Is that right? A shocking video is circulating on the Internet by NakedEmperorNews.com showing Congressman Barney Frank and others chastising regulators and insisting that safety and soundness was not an issue at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Today it is painfully clear that there were major problems indeed. You might remember Congressman Barney Frank. He is the one that worked closely with Secretary Paulson and Fed Chairman Bernake to fast track the Wall Street banker bailout.

No to Fast Track Banking Bailout: Let free market capitalism run its course.
Written By: Jonas Clark

Secretary of Treasury Paulsen speaks to Press ConferenceIs the media telling the truth about the dynamic dual Paulson and Bernanke’s bailout? Do they even know the truth? Do our leaders in Congress know the truth? What exactly is President Bush taking a “bold stand” with?

Folks we are facing an historical event. If not handled with the spirit of wisdom it could throw the world into a depression. I’m not exaggerating! Over the weekend private meetings were taken place in Washington to let these two Canaanites come up with a plan to rescue the economy. In my opinion they are not rescuing you and me. Every time I listen to them on television my spirit is grieved. Looking to these men to solve this problem is the same as letting the bank robbers be in charge of the robbery investigation.

Predatory Politicians Destructive Leftwing Policies & the Roots of the Housing Crisis
Written By: AdministratorIn the midst of the economic crisis and the wake of the Paulson bailout, the mainstream media have begun publishing obituaries for the free market. The elite press has begun to trumpet “the end of American-style capitalism” and “the bankrupt dogma of Reagan-Thatcherism.”

But are free markets at the root of the current economic crisis, or meddling politicians? In short: Is our problem predatory lenders, or predatory politicians?

Predatory Politicians Use Government to Get What They Want

Predatory politicians are vastly more dangerous than predatory lenders because they bring the full authority and vast resources of the federal government to their attempts to coerce and control the American people.

If predatory lenders seek to take advantage of peoples’ desperation and ignorance to make bad loans, predatory politician take advantage of taxpayers’ money and the power of the government to advance their leftwing agenda. And as we will see, predatory politicians made the work of predatory lenders much easier by putting the U.S. taxpayers in the role of guaranteeing all the bad paper predatory lenders could produce.
