In a ruling that enforces the rights of Christians in a school system that seems to pay more respect to other gods, a federal court judge in California has ruled in favor of Child Evangelism Fellowship of San Diego in its case against the San Diego City School District.
Child Evangelism Fellowship alleged that the school district has discriminated against its after-school program since 1999. The organization filed suit when the district refused to provide equal access for the Good News Clubs at the Ericson Elementary School.
But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female...and the two shall become one flesh, so then they are no longer two but one. Mark 10:6,8
Popular media can be a powerful influence on the culture. While there are many evil and destructive messages coming out of Hollywood, some Christians are making wonderful movies with positive messages.
Fireproof is such a movie. It is an action/drama by the same talented team at Sherwood Baptist Church of Albany, Georgia, that was behind the smash hit, Facing the Giants. This timeless story revolves around the relationship between a firefighter husband and his wife, a hospital public relations director.
After seeing this amazing motion picture, I believe Fireproof has the potential to ignite a firestorm of support for godly marriage after its September 26 release date.
Florida Red and Blue, a front group for the radical homosexual agenda that opposes Amendment 2, the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment, appears to be in a panic in the face of Tuesday’s historic election.
The group filed a lawsuit against several people and organizations, including Florida4Marriage.org (the official sponsor of the Amendment), Florida Family Policy Council, Florida Family Action, John Stemberger and Tom Messer.
The lawsuit filed by Benedict P. Kuehne alleges election law violations. Florida Red and Blue's complaint, filed at the Florida Division of Elections, has already been dismissed. Even though Florida law does not allow a private cause of action, Florida Red and Blue retained Kuehne to file this lawsuit anyway.
What’s so controversial about a baby in a manger? Plenty, if you ask the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF).
The group filed a lawsuit against the City of Green Bay over last year’s Christmas display with a nativity scene at City Hall. But the Liberty Counsel has claimed victory for Green Bay this week.
"The federal court gave the City of Green Bay an early Christmas present,” said Mathew D. Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law. “Freedom From Religion Foundation is a radical organization that seeks to cleanse religion from America. The fact is that America has a rich religious history, and Nativity scene displays are consistently constitutional."
Judge William Griesbach dismissed the FFRF's case, stating that the group does not have standing to bring the claims, which he described as "so fleeting and slight that they do not warrant pursuing in federal court."
Atheists have erected a Christmas-bashing sign in the Washington state Capitol building – with the governor’s blessing.
Governor Chris Gregoire is allowing “Freedom from Religion Foundation,” an anti-faith hate group, to install the sign that reads, in part: “There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”
