2009 and the Election

Next year 2009, is the 500 anniversary of the Reformation, unless, as a friend of mine says, you are a Lutheran.

Let me quote a passion from Steve Gray's book "My Absurd Religion".....The Christians of the first century were not Jews, Catholics, Protestants. Nobody knew exactly what they were. All anybody knew was that their religion was new, and it worked. It transformed lives. People experienced the presence of God. People saw the power of God. They were healed. They witnessed miracles. They were never the same afterward. God came down and helped His people. Does that describe our churches today? Hardly.

Today, lame religion peddles its snake oil to anyone who believes it has the power to "cure what ails ya." Is it any wonder that the real God of heaven is nowhere to be found?

On the 500th anniversary [an interesting number] an equivalent of 10 jubilees, here is a real chance to go back to understand where we have come from, especially as protestants. Because we will NEVER understand who we are unless we understand WHERE we come from.

I have been teaching over the last month about dealing with insecurities. Not by looking to find who we are, but where are we from. The problem we have is we practice reading the bible to see who we really are, and that is like trying to deal with sin by looking at sin, or studying man by looking at fallen man. We can only deal with sin, by looking at righteousness. We can only deal with man, by looking at God. We can only find out who we are, by looking at our father. That is the whole concept behind Jesus' question to Peter, who do YOU say that I am? Peter's revelation of who Jesus was, The Messiah, the Son of God was not revealed by flesh and blood. Was not a flesh and blood issue] Jesus said to Peter Simon Barjona...or Simon the son of Jonah. Now capture this....Jesus said to Simon  "also" What you have said about Me, I now say the same about You!

Peter is a petros/a peice of rock. Duet 32, says that God is the ROCK. The translation is that Peter is a piece of the true rock...meaning if you did a DNA of the peice of rock, you would find it is made of and came from the original rock. Confirming Gen 1:26-28. In His image He made man as original creation, and as Paul describes in 2 Cor 10:5 made us in the image of Christ, the NEW Creation.

The problem today is that we have so much di-vision in the body of Christ, we don't really know who we are, and what we are made from. So we try to mend it by trying to produce man made unity, which means that everybody has to be the same. Rather than working to keep the "SPIRIT" of unity in our diversity.

The only thing that should remain the same is what we believe, and what we believe MUST be a BIBLICAL worldview, not a religious world view.

In the US next week there will be an election, and people are voting on candidates, primarily for what is good for them, not what is good for the country, or WHAT IS THE BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW.

God's wisdom is associative, in other words God's wisdom encompassed everything aspect, and wisdom in one area affects every other area. When you vote ask what is God about...He is about LIFE, he created us and gave us LIFE, and when we were dead, He sent His Son, NOT to get us to HEAVEN, but to give us LIFE and that LIFE abundantly.

IF a candidate does NOT protect LIFE and refuses to give his own life to protect life, does NOT have a biblical world view, EVEN if he calls himself a CHRISTIAN. What TRUE parent would not place themself in the line of fire to protect their child, born or unborn.

What farmer would plant a seed, wait till it germinates then dig it up and throw it in the trash. If he did that he would not see a harvest, thereby, destroying his ability to provide for his family, and will never have any new seed to produce the next generation crop.

Its time to wake up, or God will use the enemy to wake us up, just like He did with Israel, whether we like it or not. Because God will have a Bride who is spotless, and He will have a Nation who manifests the victory, His Son has given us. And He will have an army who have been used to make all His enemies His footstool. That is what He is waiting for, then His Son will come again.

That my friend IS the BOTTOM LINE.

Historically, wherever prophetic voices are being raised up, the enemy will raise up counterfeit voices that mimic the prophetic anointing. That voice is the Jezebel spirit. During the course of these studies we will be focusing on how Jezebel, as a celestial power, influences the actions of individuals. Knowingly or unknowingly, these individuals will hinder and oppose the move of God in this age.

Like the author of the Book this series is gleaned from it is my hope that the Church will arise out of its complacency and tolerance of this spirit and Gods divine order come to into prominence.
