We are in a spiritual war for dominion. As Christians we know through the resurrection of Christ He spoiled principalities and powers. Principalities and powers are demonic governing forces waging war against Christ, His dominion, and His kingdom advancement. We also know the conclusion of the warfare, “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Revelation 11:15). The spiritual warfare is not over. There are many souls to be won, Disciples of Christ to be made, and many kingdoms yet to be conquered. The spiritual warfare that we are involved manifests in the natural through various world views, belief systems and shared values such as secular humanism, religious humanism, Marxism, Socialism, Materialism, Consumerism, materialism, and New Age spiritualism just to name a few. All of these “isms” find their design outside the Word of God and wage war for the souls of mankind.

RESTORING ALL THINGS

Because you have followed this ministry for several years you understand that we are involved in “the restoration of all things.” The Prophets have declared the restoration since the foundation of the world. I have written about it many times. The spiritual warfare for Kingdom restoration involves you and understanding it will help you get a better perspective of your purpose. It will also help you understand the spiritual warfare you are involved in. The way the Holy Spirit showed me the restoration of all things was like this, “As it was in the beginning so shall it be in the end.” Here is the scripture.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).

The Book of Acts is built on several key points including a forty day teaching from the resurrected Christ on restoring the Kingdom of God (Acts 1:3), the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:4) and the restoration of all things (Acts 3:21). On these foundational truths rest the Book of Acts. Regarding the restoration of all things the Holy Spirit is referring to the way things were “before the division of kingdoms” when Cain left the Kingdom of God and built the first secular humanists kingdom. There is no doubt these two kingdoms ─ the Kingdom of God and all other kingdoms ─ are still combating for dominion.

Christ prevailed as the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. It’s up to us now to continue His work of kingdom restoration. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. As already said, “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord...” The Greek word become is ginomai meaning “made to become.” This indicates your involvement in Kingdom advancement because made to become means that the takeover of rebel kingdoms will not take place suddenly but will be progressively subdued. To accomplish the task will require your involvement in the advancement of the Gospel of the Kingdom. To overcome the spiritual and natural opposition is one reason the Holy Ghost anoints you.

SPIRITUAL TRAINING

You are going to need spiritual training. That’s one reason we set up the Apostolic Equipping Institute with various intensive study courses that will equip and empower you to make a difference.

After the resurrection of Christ He gave his followers five different ascension gifts some apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12). All of these ascension gifts would be needed to equip Disciples of Christ to turn the world upside down. Not only did Christ give you these gifts but He sent the Holy Ghost to empower you with supernatural power to overcome demonic kingdom powers, values, culture, “and their doctrines.” These demonic world views are seen, heard, and read every day on the Internet, radio and television. Their philosophies are taught in public schools and universities, voiced by politicians, and viewed on reality television shows.

Comedian Sarah Silverman used the Internet to Tweet before and after photos of her abortion. Her Tweet read, “Got a quickie aborsh in case R v W gets overturned.” Abortion is a serious matter. Silverman thinks it’s funny. Her murderous values conflict with scripture and model the way to a generation of youth that abortion is a final solution for birth control.

We are in a war for dominion, kingdom against kingdom, culture against culture, values against values, truth against lies, and light against darkness. Society needs truth that lights the way out of darkness and chaos. This is why Jesus taught that you are salt, light and a city set on a hill.

GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL

Christ prophesied great news. He said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). Notice the warfare found in building the Church. You are part of the Church. As members of Christ’ Church you cannot escape the warfare for dominion. Since you can’t escape the warfare you need to embrace it as a good soldier. What I mean is for you to follow the instructions of the Apostle Paul. He wrote, “Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). Armor is for fighting. The “wiles of the devil” are not just fleshly lust that wage war against you personally. The wiles of the devil also include designs that try to destroy the moral fabric of societies. This is easily seen with the attacks against families, marriages, and our youth. We can fight back. I did a teaching series called “Warring for Dominion” to understand what to do.

THE RISE OF CRISES

Everything that can be shaken is being shaken. Nations are facing many crises from political revolutions, economic chaos, and moral debauchery. The United States is addicted to debt, money printing and devaluation of its currency. Its political leadership believes that debt, leverage and consumerism is the road to national prosperity. Let’s see how that is working out.

• National debt has increased by $5.6 trillion in three and a half years.
• The national debt will reach $20 trillion by 2015. If interest rates rise to a normal level of 5% the annual interest expense would be $1 trillion. That’s 45% of current tax revenue just to pay interest payment to bankers.
• There are 242 million working age Americans and 100 million of them are not working. The Federal government reports that only 13 million of these people are actually unemployed.
• There are 46.5 million Americans (15% of the population) needing food stamps to survive. The impact of this is hidden from public view because there are no Great Depression soup lines to photograph.
• Unfunded liabilities of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security exceed $100 trillion and cannot possibly be honored.
• Our leaders have fought two “undeclared wars” since 2001 not to mention Libya. Now it appears a bankrupt empire is gearing up for another with Iran.

Crisis is not limited to North America. In Central America violence among youth is in crises mode. The average murder rate in Central America is 40 per 100,000. Nicaragua is 14 per 100,000. Honduras, however, is 80 per 100,000. That means Honduras currently has the highest murder rate in the world.

I work with some fantastic Christian leaders in Central America. These are real men and women on the front lines that deserve our prayers and financial support. For them Christianity is a life or death situation. I was asked to speak to several generals from the national armed forces. The civil government and the military are doing everything they know to do. Some understand the escalating violence is not just a natural battle but also a spiritual battle. During this meeting the Holy Spirit told them they cannot kill a spirit with a bullet. We must work together, civil government working together with local churches to turn the situation around. Some of the main problems include:

• The destruction of the family.
• Marxists teachings that promote “class warfare” like poor against rich, employee against employer, non-property owners against property owners, uneducated against educated, or haves against the have nots rather than “Christian values” like honesty, integrity, morality, faithfulness, loyalty, thrift, and hard work.
• Compromising church leadership and apathetic Christians.
• The promotion of socialism and statism.

Taking the gospel out of the local church and into the highways, byways, streets, homes, schools, and workplace is effective. During one of our Honduran ministry trips we worked with many great Christian leaders ministering to over fifteen thousand youth. We saw thousands give their lives to Christ and get baptized with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. To stop youth violence in Central America only begins with getting young people saved. We must stop the promotion of demonic kingdom values. When the Church stops playing church and starts being the Church we will win this battle.

The battle against the teachings of rebel kingdom leaders continues. The good news is the Holy Ghost has called you for such a time as this. Do your part. First take charge of your life by getting your own house in order. Then get yourself plugged into a good local church. If you are not baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues do so now. The Holy Ghost has been sent to anoint you with the power to prevail against all demonic forces and to establish the Kingdom of God. As a man of God take hold of your responsibilities and lead your family into the things of God. Let your children see what a man of God or a woman of God looks like. You can’t do it without Holy Ghost power. But with His guidance “all things are possible to him that believeth.” And finally, pray for me for finances and that “doors of utterance” would open as we continue to travel into these hard territories. I know we can make a difference when we work together.
