I grew up going to the tentmeetings when Rev. Allen would come to Cincinnat, Ohio. I learned so much from him and all the books that I read by hiim. I took his courses and he really help me have a different outlook about ministry. I thank God for men like him who paid the price to bring changes to the church world. - David Brown Jr.

Life in Miracle Valley, Az.

I enjoyed reading your article. A.A.Allen also established a place called Miracle Valley in Arizona located at the very southern tip of Hwy. 92 between Bisbee and Sierra Vista but perhaps you already knew that.
My family and I lived there for many years as I grew up. The property was donated to Allen by a local rancher to build a ministry campus and Bible college. That rancher is still living in Palominas, Az. today.
Allen established a good sized Bible college there with separate male and female dormitories. There was a church building which later became known as the Pool of Bethesda building where sick people would go for care, hope and ministry as they waited on their healing.
There were buildings for Bible school classes and also a Bible school administration building. They even built a large cafeteria. There was one long building with seven or eight apartments for married students and their families. That is where we lived.
There was also a large administration building used for the business office of Allen's ministry. Several hundred people worked there answering mail and phone calls, printing record albums and the monthy Miracle Magazine. There was a dairy adjacent to the campus, a ranch, orchards and vegetable gardens with their own irrigation systems.
The grounds had trees, green grass, roses and flowering bushes. It was always well kept. There was a dirt air field for small planes, warehouse, trailor court and privately owned homes accross the street on the other side of the highway. Allen had a private residence there but spent most of his time in his travel trailor out on the road.
My father graduated from Miracle Valley Bible college in 1970. His name was Louis John ( BUD) Allen....we are no relation to A.A. Allen. It was a two year study course. Each summer Miracle Valley would have a huge camp meeting on the grounds that lastet about two or three weeks.
They built a new church building while we lived in Miracle Valley to accomodate all the people who would come from all over the nation to attend. The new church held about 3000 people and it even had a prayer tower. The music was lively and so were the people who attended. The atmosphere was electric at Camp Meeting time.
The Valley is still there and most all the buildings are still standing but many are in need of much repair. - Christine Allen-Holm
