Bishop Carlton Pearson Closes Church

Bishop Carlton PearsonIt was billed as the friendliest, trendiest, most radically inclusive worship experience. Its leader was a controversial bishop who tried to prove hell doesn’t exist. Now, the Tulsa, Okla. church that preached inclusion is shutting its doors.

After rising to Christian fame as an advisor to President Bush, serving as a guest host on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, working as a member of the Oral Roberts University board of trustees, and leading a 6,000-member megachurch, the controversial Bishop Carlton Pearson preached his final sermon at New Dimensions on Sept. 7.
