Did we lose more of our nation to secular humanists this year? It’s obvious that Christian values are under attack. This year many think we reached a tipping point with a rise of socialistic ideology and big government fascism that will continue to erode more and more of our religious freedoms.
As Christians, we must resist the dumbing down of the Church through a diluted humanistic gospel that teaches us how to cope with life but not how to live in victory. To combat this erosion we must educate ourselves with a biblical worldview. Christ taught His disciples, for example, to be salt and light in a dark world. He never taught them to withdraw themselves from the world. He taught them to bring glory to the Father by bearing much fruit. He even rebuked a man in the Parable of the Talents that buried his talent in the ground. Unfortunately, some of the Church has been distracted, disarmed and deceived. Instead of equipping the saints to invade, occupy and influence the world for Christ, some have focused on blessing-only, entertainment-only and rapture-only. What we need is a righteous revolution that invades our nation with righteous leadership.

Salvation is more than a personal relationship with Jesus. God has an expectation of you. He wants you to use His authority to make a difference with your life and make this world a better place. He wants you to be salt and light in a decadent society desperate for moral leadership (Matthew 5:13-16). He wants you to be a faithful servant actively advancing the Kingdom of God and “occupying until He comes” (Matthew 24:45-46). That’s what the new apostolic reformation is helping people to do. DEALING WITH GOD-HATERS
The God-haters continue to spread their religion. It’s a gospel that preaches a secular society rife with humanistic worldviews. When Christians present Kingdom viewpoints and ideals in the competitive marketplace they are labeled intolerant, irrelevant and judgmental. The nightly news is filled with a hodgepodge of worldviews (all except Christian ones, that is) for the audience’s lifestyle consideration. The obvious hypocrisy against Christianity is not new. It is a continuing effort to silence humanism’s staunchest rival: God’s people of promise. Truth is under attack like never before, our biblical truth, not their secular humanistic truth. If you looked in the natural, you might say the Kingdom of God is not increasing, but withering up and dissipating. You see Islam, Hinduism and secular humanism taking over the earth. According to Christian researcher George Barna, thousands of people are leaving the church every week. Why are they leaving? What are they looking for? People are hungry for truth; searching for meaning and purpose. They are looking for kingdom structure and government that would provide them with relevance and opportunity to make a difference in the world.

The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. That joy is our strength.
Whether you are running full speed ahead, walking by faith one day at a time, or just doing your best to crawl to the next rest stop, the apostolic road is full of detours. To be sure, Believer’s Boulevard is a narrow path with signposts that may read, “Turn right just ahead for humbling,” or “Caution, major heart work ahead!”
If we are going to live the crucified life, then, quite simply stated, we need to be ready – and willing – to give ourselves to change. We’ll find the journey much less painful if we keep our eyes on the prize and rejoice along the road to ripeness.
