We’re the “Joshua Generation.” Or at least that’s what many of us have heard preached in sermons and heralded in high praise throughout Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. The Joshua Generation is a bold group of spiritual reformers aiming to turn the world upside down for Christ. It’s the group that goes in to possess the land. We’re the ones who vowed that our household would serve the Lord. But what happens after the so-called Joshua Generation? Let’s look at the account of Joshua’s days. The Bible says after the Joshua generation died there arose another generation; a generation that did not follow God.
The Prophet Samuel wrote, “and the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served Baalim. And they forsook the Lord God of their fathers which brought them out of the land of Egypt and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the Lord to anger. And they forsook the Lord and served Baal and Ashtaroth. And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies” (Judges 2:10-14).

Al Sharpton is teaching that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream was about the redistribution of wealth. In a church in Danbury, Ct. he preached that we won't have true social justice until everything is "equal in everybody's house." So if your neighbor has two big screen televisions and you don't that's not equality and social justice is called for. I can't imagine how he got that kind of message out of the teachings of Dr. King.
Social justice is a keyword for redistribution of wealth. Some say that Jesus promoted social justice. I disagree. The Bible is full of scriptures that dispute such a concept. The Parable of the Talents is a good example. God gave each talents. Two were faithful to do something with them. The third buried his talent in the ground.

Socialism is dangerous. It attacks the means of production within the nation. Our nation, once the most robust “product producing” country on earth has become a consumer nation captive by massive debt. We are more consumer-minded than production-minded. Much has already been penned on this topic. The remedy of our leaders in Washington is to print our way into affluence. To the least rational working man this doesn’t make any sense. Printing our way out of debt and into prosperity is impossible and only speeds up the failure of the American dollar and ultimately our standard of living. The only way out of debt is through production, thrift, savings and free market capitalism with limited government meddling. Our nation and our citizens must learn to live within their means. They can do it voluntarily or by force through bankruptcy.

Theodore H. (CARROLLTON, Texas) - Over 750 protestors turned out for the first Tax Day Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party in North Texas at the corner of Josey Lane and President George Bush Turnpike in Carrollton, a suburb of Dallas with 100,000 population. Protestors started at 11:30 a.m. and left at 1:30 p.m..
The rally was truly a grassroots effort without big name speakers, big name politicians and big promotions for political parties. Marching on the corners of the streets, the protestors were intense as they showed up in their patriotic colors and costumes. Some used tea bags as accessories. At a busy intersection by the Turnpike, horns were continually honking. Big rigs blew their powerful air horns.
